Day 1: Arrival in Tokyo

Welcome to Japan! 

Roll in Asia has conceived with care, itineraries comfortably designed to welcome wheelchair users, answering the needs of less mobile travelers to enable an exciting and serene visit of Japan.

Your guide will be at the airport to warm welcome you. Transfer by the express train to the city center of Tokyo.

We wish you a great trip to Japan, rich in encounters and discoveries. 

Your Roll in Asia advisor will be available during your trip to answer your questions and to make your trip as smooth as can be.

Tokyo, the dynamic city of Japan is the most populated city in the world; nevertheless at any moment of the day or of the night you will feel really secure. Mixing modernity and authenticity, illuminated skyscrapers and historical temples, Tokyo is huge and offers multiple possibilities of cultural, historical and culinary experiences and discoveries! Day 2: Tokyo

Breakfast at your hotel.

After a good recovery night and breakfast, departure with your tour leader onboard public transportations for the exploration of the city (in option you can request a local guide – contact us).

You start this day with the visit of the largest fish market in the world; the Tsujuki market.

Busling and amazing, this market trade over 2400 tons of fish every day.

Continue not far from there, for you to reach the Asakusa quarter, famous for its Sensō-Ji temple.

Deep red and massive, the Sensō-Ji temple is a not to be missed visit of the capital city. It was created during the 7th century and is today one of the eldest temple of Tokyo.

Lunch at leisure during the visit.

In the afternoon, visit of the Imperial Palace ‘garden. Surrounded by skyscrapers, in the heart of the city, this garden remains a peaceful and secret place. Enjoy wandering in this magical fortress garden. The fortress also host the actual residence of the emperor Akihito.

Day 3: Tokyo

Day 4: Tokyo - Kyoto

Transfer for the railway station of Tokyo-Shinjuku and departure in the morning by train to reach the former capital of Japan: Kyoto.

For this journey you ride the Shinkansen train: a modern, futurist and comfortable train which will bring you quite fast across the country!

Kyoto is famous for its numerous temples, gardens, its imperial palace and also for its traditional wooden houses in the Geishas’ quarter. Kyoto has preserved all its ancient charm and a unique atmosphere.

Day 5: Kyoto

Breakfast at your hotel.

Full day dedicated to the exploration of the fantastic city of Kyoto.

The golden temple: Kinkakuji, symbol of the city, is the most visited monument of the city : its majestic main pavilion is covered by gold leaves.

The discovery continues in the heart of the East Mountain: Higashiyama. This is one of the best site to visit in Kyoto: ancient houses, preserved old style streets and wonderful temples.

At the end of the day, visit the Gion quarter; another historical quarter of the city. In one of the dark alleys you might see the silhouette of a shy Geisha or Maikos (training Geisha), wearing one of those amazing Kimono silk dress. Take all your time to explore this unique place filled with an enchanting atmosphere.

Day 6: Kyoto - Nara - Kyoto

Breakfast at your hotel.

Today, departure to Nara, former capital of Japan between 710 and 784 AC and today the residential city of the imperial family. The remaining of Nara former imperial town is today classified as UNESCO World Heritage site.

Nara is composed by 36 temples, spread over the huge park of Nara-Koen.

Among others, you will explore the Kofuku-ji temple: this temple was first edified in Kyoto before being transferred to Nara in 710. Do not miss to pass by the greatTodai-ji temple:  with its 29 meters high door this piece of art is the tallest monument made in wood in the world, hosting the highest Buddha statue of Japan.

Take all your time to explore the wonderful site of Nara.

Day 7: Kyoto

Breakfast at your hotel.

Onboard charming little wagons, make your way to the great bamboo forest of Arashiyama.

Enjoy a promenade along the small paths in the heart of the bamboo forest. This heaven of zen will make you feel very small compared to the huge bamboos reaching above 10 meters high: a relaxing and enchanting journey.

Back to Kyoto after the visit.

Day 8: Kyoto - Osaka - Departure

Last wake-up in Japan…

Morning at leisure. Check out by noon.

Depending on your international flight schedule, departure by rapid train to Osaka.

Assistance at the airport and take off from Osaka-Kyoto airport.

Say good-bye to Japan, the land of the rising sun, with unforgettable memories!
