The Vietnamese art of the water puppet is a cultural exprience not to be missed during your stay in Hanoi. The show is performed every evening within the Bong Sen Theater. With traditional live music in the background, the puppets are brought to life to tell stories about the daily traditional Vietnamese life. The stories are easily understandable for all. The puppets are made of lacquered wood and represent fishermen, farmers, emperors, servants, animals, etc. Have fun watching all those legends jumping out of the water to anime.After the show, extend the legendary feeling by having a great promenade along the near by the mystical Hoan Kiem lake located in front of the theater.

2 shows of 50mn are performed every evening.

The show is suitable for all: kids and adults. It is accessiblle to wheelchair users and less mobile people.
