In central Vietnam the charming UNESCO city of Hoi An, will amaze you with all its lanterns lightening from sunset and its pedestrian old town. 

The lantern festival takes place very month, at the 14th day of the lunar calendar. For this occasion, the whole city in lightened only by colorful lanterns hanged in front of every shop,  restaurant, in the trees and on the river: the city offers a magical atmosphere. On that joyful day, the city organizes activities for the kids, night markets and a parade. The wooden boats are cruising the river with people dropping some floating lanterns as offerings.
